As I mentioned…lots of time in the yard this year. And Ansel is now a Catniphead. After he rubs the nip patch and flops in it for awhile…he heads for the shady flower bed:
High or not…he sure does know how to strike a pose.
Published May 31, 2010 | We spend a lot of time out in our backyard. With the economy like it is, we don’t have the ability to travel like we expected to at this point. Ansel loves to travel and loves to ride in the car…but he loves being in the backyard more. So we have put in loads and loads of kitty safe plants. You can find out what’s safe on the ASPCA poison control website. They have a pretty comprehensive database of poison and non poisonous plants for dogs, cats and horses. So, I feel secure knowing Ansel can roam within the fenced in [and fully cat proofed] yard and nom on whatever.
We also planted a small area of catnip for him…which he adores. You can see a sample of his love for the catnip here:
